About BrainStormer
Big ideas deserve
good foundations.
BrainStormer Books helps fiction writers turn curiosity into worlds, choices, and stories. The goal is practical: understand what matters, explore your options, and get back to writing.
Meet William S. Frisbee Jr.
A science fiction author, Marine veteran, and computer consultant, William brings a practical eye to imagined worlds. His nonfiction also appears under WS Frisbee.
BrainStormer draws on that mix of experience and curiosity, with guides for military science fiction, science fiction, and fantasy writers.

Make the details serve the story.
Understand the foundations. Establish the rules of your imagined world. Follow what those rules make possible for the people living there.
Research should give you ideas and confidence. You do not need to finish a planetary census before your characters can leave the house.
Find your next frontier.
